- Bands and labels bundle and returns completed ticket to guard shack.
- Moves building materials and related merchandise from receiving areas to designated warehouse, lumberyard or other designated storage areas.
- Assembles customer orders from stock, and/or custs lumber according to customer specifications and builds loads to be taken to job site or customer’s home.
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Stocks lumber, levels lumber, and cuts up warped lumber as required.
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within warehouse or lumberyard to verify accurate fulfillment of order.
- Compiles order tickets from customer specification
- Maintains inventory records.
- Performs preventative and general maintenance on vehicles and forklifts.
- Assists in maintenance of warehouse, lumberyard, or store facilities by picking up trash, sweeping floors, and other general custodial duties.
- Duties affect the safety of operation of motor vehicles in the transportation on public highways of passengers or property in interstate commerce.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Verifies load against shipping papers.
- Drives truck to destination.
- Prepares receipts for load picked up.
- Maintains truck and driver logs according to state and federal regulations.
- Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Loads and unloads truck. Verifies materials are those listed on ticket. Checks for damaged materials or merchandise.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Performs routine maintenance procedures such as checking oil, installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains. Fuels truck as required
- Assists with maintenance of warehouse, lumberyard, or store facilities by picking up trash, stacking lumber and other custodial activities.
- Provide any other assistance as needed to get the job done.
